A fault in pickleball is any violation of the game rules that results in the loss of a rally or point, such as stepping in the kitchen, hitting the ball out of bounds, or serving incorrectly.
What is a dink shot?
A soft, controlled shot hit from near the kitchen line that arcs gently into the opponent's kitchen to slow the game pace and create offensive opportunities.
What is a DUPR rating?
DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is a global skill-rating system that assigns numerical scores to pickleball players based on match results to enable fair competitive matchmaking and tournament seeding.
What is a ladder league?
A ladder league is a ranking system where pickleball players compete by challenging others ranked nearby to move up or down a numbered position list.
What is a let serve in pickleball?
A let serve occurs when the ball touches the net cord during a serve and lands in the service box, resulting in a replay of that point with no penalty to the server.
What is a round robin format?
A tournament or league structure in which every participant plays against every other participant one or more times, with standings determined by total wins and losses across all matches.
